WORKBOATS

Over the past 5 years we have constructed 13 alloy workboats to MNZ survey standards. We offer the proven professionalism of our own in-house design team to create your next boat, or can build to a design you have selected yourself.

Below are some of our past and recent launchings.

The original Lazydays range of houseboats were all built to MNZ survey standards. There are five of these on the water being used for bareboat rentals, chartering or in private ownership
Cruise Waikato use one of our designed and built pontoon boats. It operates from downtown Hamilton and offers scenic cruises along the Waikato River
Kingfisher Cats designed and built the 8.5 metre powercat commissioned for the Tauranga Harbourmaster. It is powered by twin 175 4stroke Suzuki outboards
King Salmon commissioned this 7.5m Kingfisher for worker transportation to and from its Marlborough Sounds salmon farm. www.kingsalmon.co.nz
An 8.4m functional workboat for the Department of Conservation based in Tauranga to service the local area, particularly Mayor, Motiti, and Plate Island. It also does occasional trips across to White island.
Southern Hydrographics had Kingfisher design and build this 7.5m trailerboat for seabed hydrographic mapping.
This Kingfisher 11m passenger powercat takes tourists across to Mokioa Island in Rotorua. It is powered by twin 250hp Suzuki 4 stroke outboards.
The upper reaches of Lake Karapiro on the Waikato River is the home of this 16m function and cruise boat. It is operated by Karapiro Cruisers.
Kingfisher Cats designed and built this 10m Leisurecat "Whakarua" to the owners specifications for cruising and fishing trips on Lake Tarawera. www.exploretarawera.co.nz
A Roger Hill designed 11m powercat is under construction for a Wairarapa crayfisher. It has a shortened cabin and is to be outboard powered. Launching is expected in April. The Wairarapa crayboat under construction in our workshop in Tauranga.
Like all the powercats in this 10-11metre range it has a composite top.
A farmer's water taxi! Built for a Matakana Island farmer, this 8m by 3m walk-around craft is now powered by twin 225 Honda 4 strokes, and is designed to take the hard knocks. Would also be an excellent fishing and dive charter boat. Owner now interested in a bigger version so this one is for sale.
These 14ft dinghies are built of solid welded 4mm alloy and are designed for work situations where pounding against wharf piles and loading up with cargo is common practice. They are heavier than comparable craft but will certainly take a hiding!
